Moleskin is designed to protect tender places on the feet.  It can be applied directly to the place on the foot which needs protection, or can be applied to the shoe.  If you have boots where the boot strap or the stitching irritates, moleskin is perfect for covering the problem area.  The adhesive holds the strip firmly in place.

The package contains 3 strips of moleskin.  Each strip measures approximately 4-5/8" long by approximately 3-3/8" wide.  They are self-adhesive - just trim with scissors to the size you want, peel off the backing and press onto the place where cushioning is needed.
